Bell Island Boathouse

This boathouse is located in a sheltered bay on the south side of Bell Island. We think this is Glandon's camp. To a certain degree, the boathouse blocks the view from the camp and also casts shade on the dock and swimming area in the afternoon. The camp is well maintained; and it is possible that the owners are going to have the boathouse removed.      A boathouse used to be an absolute necessity unless boats were trailered home for the winter. Now, thanks to the fine service provided by Temagami Marine, most summer residents store their boats in the large, covered boat barns.   Photos taken Spring 2011

This boathouse appears to have deteriorated beyond any possibility of repairing.
